2258	WEICHMANN, Roger W., 74, of Brooksville, passed away July 24, 2017 at Florida Hospital at Connerton. He was born May 25, 1943 in Madison, Wisconsin and came to this area 11 years ago from St. Petersburg. He was an electrician and maintenance mechanic for the City of St. Petersburg for 20 years. He was a member of St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, the St. Anthony Choir and Hand Bell Choir. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle Weichmann and Olga A. Johnson, brother, Jerry L. Weichmann and sister, Sharon Freeland. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith M. "Judy" Weichmann. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church, with Reverend Michael Kouts officiating. 2263	Well, my journey on earth has ended. I never would have believed it would go so fast. However, my ride has been a wonderful and meaningful daily gift for many years... who could ask for anything more! I was born to Jens and Ellen Haug on a cold winter's night and was their only child. They gave me love unending and Norwegian heritage. Since my mother was Norwegian and my father was born in Norway, my home was one of many traditions. I received a sense of discipline, work ethic and enjoyment of music leading me to become a piano teacher, organist and I earned a UW Madison degree in physical therapy. We also had the love of "up north" in a cabin each summer and a sense of family that encouraged, understood faith in God, fun and laughter, kindness to others and pursuing hopes and dreams as my father did in coming to America at the age of 19. My journey led me to become Mrs. Donald E. Bork Sr., receiving the gift of four sons through the love of God: Brett Bork (Sue), Christopher Chad Bork (Dianne), Donald Bork Jr. (Beth) and Seth Bork (Dana). The joy of raising four boys and observing their growth in all their activities and life achievements made me realize what a miracle life and family is. Their wives brought us more gifts, then the delight of grandchildren: Jack and Emma Bork, Kariana and Anja Bork, Eden, Hannah, Olivia and Zeke Juel (Paige); and our great-grandson, Martin. Being a mom and a wife was my dream and what a wonderful time I had. Professionally my journey included being a physical therapist, piano teacher, organist, helping my husband and his business, getting a master's degree in grief counseling and death education, creating a crisis team for the Appleton school system, creating a continuing care counseling service for a funeral home and being a presenter at many conventions and organizations. My interests were painting, rosemaling, reading, writing, church committees and Chapter EI of P.E.O. for Door County. Retirement in Door County has been another new journey. Many meaningful and happy times were spent up north at our restored log cabin. We also cherished our trips to Norway, my first when I was 14 with my parents, another on our 50th anniversary and our most recent in 2016. I have been blessed with 57 years of marriage to "my honey" and would love another 50, but I've had my hopes and dreams, what more could I ask than my next journey be to my heavenly home. "In God's time all things are right, beautiful and possible when you believe." My end-of-life journey included having cancer, it was a special time for our family showing us joy and blessings even in the difficult times. May all of you, my family, friends and others continue to enjoy your journey and find your miracles each day. Remember even though I have died, I am still with you in heart and mind, I will see you again... 2266	Written by Donald: "I will write what I know about our relatives: My Grandfathers name was Gustav Myrstrom, he lived in the Bohuslän province, Sweden,a border town between Norway and Sweden, He had six children with his first wife, I don't know what year she died. First child was Amanda, she stayed on in Sweden, married and raised a family. 2nd child was Charles, Oscar, Evelyn & Jeanettes father, 3rd child was Herman, Hilda & Cousin Alice's Father; 4th, child was Oscar, my Dad; 5th child was Julius, he had six daughters, lived in St.Paul, same as Uncle Herman, & Charles in Minneapolis same as my Dad; Uncle George stayed on in Sweden, raised a family of 2 sons and 5 daughters; cousin Alice & Hilda visited them a few years ago, Alice said they are all welll-to-do, and have such beautiful homes. One Son Ivar, left Sweden a few years and settled in St.Paul, he passed on a year or so ago. My Grandfather was 72 years old when he remarried, he married a young widow that had a son named Smith,I don't know his first name,it just came to me now,I think it is Axel Smith. grew up in Sweden, then came to this Country and settled in St.Paul, had 2 boys, both are Doctors, parents are both gone now. Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Dick are from this second marriage. Grandpa's wife died very young, at age 39, and left Grandpa with two small children to raise,it was pretty rough.Aunt Evelyn told me long ago how they had to live with one relative and then another until they grew up and came to this Country. I have not heard how old my Grandfather was when he died. Grandpa's four oldest boys, Charles, Herman, Oscar and Julius, sailed to this Country when they were in their 20's. My Dad was one of the cooks on the Ship; when they got to Florida, the Ship stayed there for a month, before going back to Sweden. They decided to stay in this Country, so they had to hide in the Everglades and coconut groves until the Ship sailed.They had to live on coconuts and the coconut milk for a long time while in hiding,no wonder my Dad couldn't stand the sight of a coconut. The four of them also decided to change their last name,they thought it was too long, so they took out the first R,and changed it to Mystrom" På mönstringskortet står det att han arbetar som advertising solicitor at Minneapolis journal. Well, my journey on earth has ended. I never would have believed it would go so fast.
